BRATS ON THE GRILL

*Bratwurst
*Buns
*Onion
*Chips
*Butter
*Salt & Pepper
*Hot Grill

1. Slice the onion, add a couple of scoops of butter and salt & pepper. Wrap in foil.

2. Place the brats on the grill and cover, give them about 5 minutes on each side. They say you should boil your sausages in beer for a few minutes before putting them on the grill, I figure if you drink 2 or 3 beers while you're grilling them, it's the same differance.

3. Put the onions on top and cover. Turn the brats as needed to brown evenly. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes, good-hot grill and 20 should do, package says 30, you decide.
4. Pile brats, onions and salsa on the bun and you're done. Don't use hot dog buns, get some hogie buns (something with some texture), they won't get soggy as quick.

If you have to have whole wheat buns, just skip the bratwurst to start with and eat a salad.....
